El #VoyaSer program, from Santillana Latin America and the Entreculturas-Fe y Alegría Foundation, has been recognized as a finalist in the XIV Corresponsables Awards, organized by the Corresponsables Foundation and ObservaRSE.
After evaluating more than 800 applications from 13 countries, the Technical Committee, made up of 39 expert CSR consultants and 111 academic members from more than 15 Spanish-speaking countries, has selected #VoyaSer as one of the most outstanding initiatives in the category “ Big company".
The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony, which will be held in mid-November in Madrid. There, the most outstanding practices in Social Responsibility, Sustainability and SDGs will be publicly announced, as well as the best responsible communication actions.
#VoyaSer is a social transformation program, created by Santillana and Fundación Entreculturas-Fe y Alegría, which aims to help girls in vulnerable situations complete secondary education and have greater opportunities for the future.
To this end, it offers comprehensive help, which includes financial support to guarantee the educational continuity of girls, training in digital skills and emotional intelligence, educational material and social and pedagogical support from Santillana professionals.
Currently, the second edition of the program is being developed in two Fe y Alegría educational centers in Guatemala and Peru, where low-income indigenous girls study.
With this program, Santillana seeks to combat three problems present in Latin America that have been aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic: school dropouts, gender inequality and the digital divide.
The initiative It was already recognized in 2022 in the awards of the 14th Week of Social Responsibility and Global Sustainability, in which it was the project with the greatest support in the public voting phase.
